First, I must preface that this post has nothing to do with travel. This one is just pure, family fun and an outlet for a little case of spring fever and inspired creativity. Some of my favorite memories with my mom growing up were celebrating the holidays doing crafts. Now as a mama myself, I love the pure experience and connection that happens during this special craft time with the kids. We are a bit obsessed with Peeps. Fortunately, there are so many amazing blogs and images to feed our creativity, including my new love affair with Pinterest, where in addition to travel inspiration, I’m collecting quite a board of Easter Crafts with Kids.
Here’s how to make a Peep Wreath, one of our favorite crafts to make with kids and other fun, edible crafts with Peeps!
Peep Wreath Materials:
- You will need a 10″ or 12″ straw wreath (available at craft stores)
- We used about 50 peeps for ours, but if you want to go bigger or fill the whole wreath, you can use up to 140
- Box of round toothpicks
- Ribbon for hanging
Step 1 – stick toothpick into wreath about half way, then set the Peep on top of it.
Step 2. Continue adding peeps around the wreath. Start another row if desired until completely covered (or you run out of Peeps!)
