I had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Waterfront during my last trip to Vancouver, BC for the Travel Blog Exchange Conference. While this was a quick trip, this Vancouver BC luxury hotel is a wonderful place and I look forward to returning with my family.
The Fairmont Waterfront has beautiful views of downtown Vancouver and the waterfront and is convenient walking distance to shopping and exploring downtown Vancouver with kids. What I liked most about the Fairmont, beyond its gracious staff, is the rooftop herb garden and bee apiary. The Fairmont Waterfront’s annual Honey Harvest brought in over 600 pounds of honey from our nearly 500,000 resident honeybees. The harvest inspired the creation of the hotel’s honey truffles, the “Bee’s Knees.” The truffles, created in partnership with British Columbia’s legendary chocolatier, Rogers’ Chocolates, are offered in milk and dark chocolate and feature flavor notes of butterscotch, vanilla and cinnamon. I can attest to their yumminess, as I indulged in a few chocolates strategically placed in my room. I also love the Fairmont’s morning rooftop yoga and will return to give it a try!
